One of the valuable things your hero gets when he comes back from an adventure is experience. It’s not just the resources, the items or any other thing your hero can get when he goes to an adventure. The more the experience level of your hero increases, the more kill your hero can make. So if you want your hero to be the conqueror you wish him to be, then sending him on adventures one after another will increase his experience. Send him to adventures and battles. Don’t worry about your hero dying because he will still get experience and earn hero attributes points. Take note also that reviving a hero is fairly cheap and is quick too. Reviving a hero is even more practical than waiting for his health to boost back up but if you have ointments, you could use them as well. Just don’t hesitate to send your hero to wherever he can get experience. Every time you can earn an experience level, you can add to your hero attributes points.
Points for your hero attributes are separated into four:
Fighting Strength – The points you put into this ability will increase the attack and defense value of your hero. But do take note, your hero count as cavalry in case he is equipped with a horse and as infantry in case he is not equipped with a horse.
Off Bonus – The points put into this ability for your hero will increase the attack value of the whole army by 0.2% per point (maximum of 20%). Remember though, that the army will only receive the bonus when they are attacking along with the hero.
Def Bonus – The points you put into this ability will increase the defense value of your whole army (This means all own troops defending. The village where they come from is unimportant.) by 0.2% per point (maximum of 20%) Like the off bonus, this will only apply if your hero is with your troops.
Resources – The points you put into this ability will increase the resource output of the village where the Hero is located.
The hero attributes points your hero receives when his experience level increases can be distributed to these four depending on where you’d like to add the points. Now, this will be another part that you need to carefully think about. Increasing a hero’s attribute points may not come that easy so you would want to make sure that the points are distributed depending on where you need them.
Book of Wisdom
What if you had a sudden change in strategy and the hero attributes points you have earned and distributed will not be very helpful to you anymore? Can you reset these points and redistribute them?
Fortunately, the answer is a big YES!
You will need a tool to do that. This tool will reset the hero attributes points your hero has earned and will allow you to redistribute them depending on your need.
Where can you get this Book of Wisdom, you ask?
Simple. There are two ways. If you are lucky enough, you can find it in adventures. Sometimes, lost things could be found in adventures such as hero items, silver and troops. Well, this is one of the many things your hero can pick up from adventures. But if you cannot find one, then your second option is to buy one from an auction. There are plenty of things you can find in auctions that you could just buy with silver. Some valuable items may be high costing but a Book of Wisdom should come in cheaply so that’s not a problem.
Great news! My hero just returned from an adventure bringing with him 33 Swordsmen! Imagine that! Last time he brought troops with him, it was only 3 Phalanxes. Now, I’ve got 33 Swordsmen. How awesome is that.
What am I going to do with them?
Simple. There was this raider who got away raiding my village three times. It pissed me off a little but I would admit that my village wasn’t ready for an attack like the ones he sent. So this is what I’m going to do. I will train more Phalanxes, team them up with my Swordsmen and bam! Make an attack that will make him leave me alone. This player is a bit bigger than me. But I know I can keep up with him. With these troops behind me, I’m pretty confident I can give him an attack he won’t win over. I have to prepare. More troops means more chances of winning. There’s power in number, as they say.

More items ahead
There’s more where these came from. We’ll have more items to discuss tomorrow. First, why not get yourself busy looking for more items. I’m sure you’d be excited how things will turn out once you’ve fully equipped your hero with the right stuff. I know I’m enjoying mine. My hero doesn’t die easily now. These items will really come in handy.
We’ve talked about hero items and now, we’re working our way down. We have discussed about Hero Helmets and how each are different and what makes them unique from each other. From head to body, we were able to tackle about Hero Armor and how they can benefit your hero in different ways. Let’s go down further and talk about your Hero’s Boots.
Like the helmet and armor, hero boots also vary and each one have their own special uses. Boots of Hero Speed are the type of boots which, obviously by the name, increases the speed of you hero. Boots of Increased Army Speed are the type of boots that benefits not your hero but your whole army. They can move faster when your hero wears these boots. There is also the Boots of Regeneration. These boots will add health points to your hero so that whenever your hero faces battle, you know he can better survive with these boots on.
Why don’t we take a look at them one by one?
Boots of Hero Speed
Want to go on more adventures in a day? Then speed up your hero’s travel with the following boots:
Small spurs – These are the type of boots which will allow your hero to move to additional 3 fields per hour on a 1x speed server (+6 fields per hour on a 3x speed server) making him move faster.
Spurs – Level up your Small Spurs and you get this. Plus 4 fields per hour on a 1x speed server (+8 fields per hour on a 3x speed server)
Nasty spurs – Guaranteed maximum speed with these boots on! Plus5 fields per hour on a 1x speed server (+10 fields per hour on a 3x speed server)
Boots of Increased Army Speed
Time is important in Travian. The faster you can move, the more you can maximize time and do more than other players. Have your hero wearing boots that will benefit your entire army by speeding them up with these following boots:
Boots of the Mercenary – Additional 25% speed on the army’s base speed for distances > 20 fields
Boots of the Warrior – A level up version of your Boots of the Mercenary and you get additional 50% speed on the army’s base speed for distances > 20 fields
Boots of the Archon – Speed is power! Get your army going with an additional 75% speed on the army’s base speed for distances > 20 fields when you hero wear these boots
Boots of Regeneration
Worried your hero might not survive and adventure or battle? Well, give him a boost with these boots! Add health points to your hero using the following boots:
Boots of Regeneration – Your hero will receive an additional 10 HP/day.
Boots of Health – Healthy hero indeed. Additional 15 HP/day for your hero with these boots.
Boots of Healing – Boost up your hero’s health to the max with additional 20 HP/day when he wears these boots.
Giving you the edge

Learn more what you can do to make the most of every resource, every item, every adventure you go through. Knowing your game well will definitely help you win. So start with learning one item at a time. Remember, you can only succeed when you put the extra effort.
In our previous article, we’ve talked about the hero adventures and what you can get out of them. We’ve also tackled about hero items and specifically, hero helmets.
Well, here’s what we’re going to do. We are going to go into a series about Hero Items. This will be the second part of our series. So let’s jump in into more hero items and what they can do to help us in the game.
We all know that the hero is an important part of the village. He strengthens the army and can help you occupy an oases. So equipping your hero with the right items will give you an edge. I’ve talked about where these items can be found and how can you get them. Let’s take a peek what more you can equip your hero.
You’ve got your helmet so now, let’s work our way down. How about an armor?
A hero can wear an armor with different functions. You can choose which one best fits your need. But of course, if you just happened to find one, why complain? Wear the thing.
Here’s the list of armors you can have your hero wearing with their each description:
Armor of Health Regeneration
Armor of Regeneration – Adds 20 health points regeneration per day.
Armor of Health – Wear this and you get 30 additional health points regeneration per day.
Armor of Healing – Gives you the big number, a 40 health points additional regeneration per day.
Armor of Damage Reduction and Health Regeneration
Light scale Armor – Damage received from adventures are reduced by 4 health points plus an additional 10 HP regeneration.
Scale Armor – Go on an adventure and the damage you receive will be reduced by 6 health points and gives your hero an additional 15 HP regeneration
Heavy scale Armor – This is the best armor for damage reduction and health regeneration. Damage is reduced by 8 health points with an additional 20 HP regeneration.
Armor of Fighting Strength
Light Breast-plate – This armor gives your hero additional 500 fighting strength for Hero.
Breast-plate – Let’s your hero receive an additional 1000 fighting strength for Hero.
Heavy Breast-plate – Power on your hero with this armor for an additional 1500 fighting strength for Hero.
Fighting Strength and Damage Reduction
Light Segmented-armor – This armor allows your hero to receive less damage by 3 with an additional 250 fighting strength for Hero.
Segmented-armor – Damage received from adventures reduced by 4 and give hero an additional 500 fighting strength for Hero.
Heavy Segmented-armor – Adventure damage reduced by 5 and gives your hero an additional 750 fighting strength for Hero.
Taking a Pick
If you ask me, I would go for the Heavy scale armor which reduces damage by 8 with an additional 20 HP. I think it is more important for me to give my hero the protection he need so whatever he will need to face, I wouldn’t worry of him dying. But if you’re an offensive player, you should definitely pick the Heavy Segmented armor. It might just be your best choice. Of course, always depend on what type of player you are and choose the one that best fits your needs.
Sending you hero on adventures is advantageous in so many ways. The more adventures you send your hero to, the more his experience will increase. Not just that, it will also make you earn silver, resources and fine helpful items like cages, ointments, books and more. There are a lot of things your hero can find in adventures. One time, my hero even went home with 3 Phalanxes. It made me wonder where I got those Phalanxes since I had no barracks yet back then. When I read the report, they were carried home by my hero. I made good use of them. Point is, you would want to send your hero on adventures as much as possible. You wouldn’t want those adventures just piling up and your hero is staying at the village doing nothing.
Tips on Adventures
Normal and dangerous adventures both have their pros and cons. If your hero’s health is not full, don’t send him on dangerous adventures. You wouldn’t want to risk it. But if your hero has full health, be confident in sending him on dangerous adventures. It will more likely increase his experience and you gain more on dangerous adventures. For your hero’s health, if it’s too low and you want to rush things a bit, don’t wait for his health to go back up. You can have your hero killed and he can regenerate faster. Although it will cost you resources. reviving a hero will only take 1 day but it takes longer for him to heal especially on very low health.
Great thing about hero adventures is that you can get to find not just resources but other stuff. On my hero’s recent adventures, he got to bring home a Light-segmented armor, Small Shield and Boots of Mercenary. Who’d thought I’d find these much items right?
Now, I’m aiming for more and better items for my hero. I’ve recently been checking auctions for items to buy. Boy, is it hard to find great items. Sadly for me, I haven’t won a single auction yet. My target is to get a helmet for my hero.
There are a lot of different kinds of helmets and they each possess a different value. Let me show you what they are and what each item do:
Helmet of Awareness – This helmet allows your hero to earn an additional 15% experience.
Helmet of Enlightenment – Still, this add experience but it’s not 20% more.
Helmet of Wisdom – The helmet which makes your hero earn an additional 25% on experience. This is the highest increase among all the helmets can provide.
Helmet of Regeneration – Adds a little 10 HP/day
Helmet of Health – This helmet adds 15 HP/day
Helmet of Healing – The helmet with the highest addition to your hero’s health points of 20 HP/day
Helmet of the Gladiator – This helmet adds 100 Culture Points per day on 1x speed and 50 on 3x speed Culture Points per day.
Helmet of the Tribune – Another culture points adder helmet with 400 Culture Points per day on 1x speed and 200 on 3x speed Culture Points per day.
Helmet of the Consul – An astounding 800 Culture Points per day on 1x speed and 400 on 3x speed Culture Points per day when your hero wears this helmet.
Helmet of the Horseman – Provides a reduce in training time in the Stable by 10%
Helmet of the Cavalry – Training time in Stable reduced by 15% when hero wears this helmet.
Helmet of the Heavy cavalry – Have your hero wear this helmet and training time in Stable reduced by 20%
Helmet of the Mercenary – Probably one of the most useful helmet for offensive players. Provides a reduce in training time in Barracks by 10%.
Helmet of the Warrior – Level up the previous helmet and you’ve got this which reduces training time in Barracks by 15%.
Helmet of the Archon – The helmet with the highest reduction time for training troops in Barracks reducing it by 20%.
These are only a few of what’s more for your hero. This will help give you an edge in the game so don’t let it go to waste. You hero can find them in adventures if you’re lucky enough. But if not, still, send your hero on adventures so you can earn silver. Use it then to buy items from auctions. Get your hero ready for any battle he’ll face.
Adventures are quests in which you need to send your Hero to for him to gain experiences. Aside from that, adventures will allow you to earn rewards such as silver, troops, loot or items. There are two types of adventures: normal and difficult. A normal adventure can inflict lesser damage but experience gained by your hero would only be low. However, a difficult adventure can increase your hero’s experience by way much more than normal although there is greater risk of damage and loss.
The location to where the adventure will be has no influence on the difficulty of the adventure. Whether you send your hero to the mountains or you send him to a Natarian village, they can both be extremely dangerous. Increasing your hero’s fighting strength can help him in his adventures.
As for me, I’ve pulled out my hero and sent him to a normal adventure. I’m still trying to play safe so I’ll just see how this will go. With maybe a higher experience, I can send him to a difficult adventure soon. His experience level is still very low so I’ll be aiming to increase it.
Like any other game, Travian has a hero in which it’s one of the most important and crucial part of the game. From the start, we have the hero. The hero is trained in the Hero’s mansion. We have the hero to strengthen an army and capturing an oases. And on occupying an oases, you will need a hero’s mansion. You can occupy 2 oases at level 15 and at maximum (level 20), you can occupy 3.
Your goal will determine which unit to train as a hero. You can either train a strong attacking unit as a hero or utilize the hero for defense. You can train up to 3 heroes but you can only have one active at a time.
At the beginning, the hero will be at level 0. To gain experience, the hero must fight battles. It’s good advice to keep sending them to adventures from time to time. Don’t let your adventures pile up because it’s simply not good. The more adventures you send your hero in, the more experience he’ll get. But keep watch on his health, it takes a lot of time for it to be at the maximum again.
Your hero’s skills will include:
– Off bonus
– Def bonus
The hero can be equipped with items found on adventures or bought with silver at auctions. These equipment are like bonuses that will give your hero the edge. Items could include a helmet, body items, left and right hand items, shoes and horse. What you equip them will matter on what their purpose are.
Learn more about your hero and you could be a step closer to ruling Travian!
