Farm Chiefing – How to Deal with This Problem

Hey everyone,

Every now and then someone finds my email address and contacts me with a question! Thank you for finding me… not sure how that’s done because my email is not publicly declared anywhere. But I think I should, at least, have a “contact” button. So I will add one.

Last week someone asked me about this scenario:

farm chiefingThe questions was:

With so many farms getting eaten up by chiefers, how can one raid in the end game?

Farm chiefing is definitely a problem that takes place a lot after the artifacts have been released. There are two ways to overcome this problem:

Allied Front on Farms

The alliance leader can always identify certain village with brown boxes. These boxes serve as “undiscovered farms” that need to be cleared, crop locked and turned into farms. The look like this:

farm chiefingHave your alliance leader identify these villages and send out an MM asking everyone to clear and start farming them.

Worried about the alliance repercussions? Don’t worry. Just have the alliance focus on the players with 3-4 villages or less. No one is going to mobilize the entire alliance for a player who isn’t even using gold… unless there are sentimental ties/reasons for this.

Chief Enemy Farms

When a player chiefs a farm they are basically telling the world that they are not capable of dealing with the real enemy (maybe their primarily defense) and they don’t want to “rock the boat”.

It could also suggest that they don’t have a dual, and are not online 24/7… which is so much the better since you can find out when they are not around (by sending them messages) and then beating the shit out of them when they are offline.
